Wendy Appel is an executive coach, consultant, author,  public speaker, and facilitator. She received her master's degrer in social and cultural anthropology. Wendy specializes in human and organizational change and transformation. She thinks of herself as a global citizen, has lived in the US, Denmark and Spain, and traveled extensively throughout her adult life. Wendy is known as committed, talented, confident, forthright, a synthesizer, integrator, inspirer, visionary and trusted friend. She is passionate about the health and wellbeing of individuals, teams, organizations, communities and planet Earth.

Wendy works internationally with senior executives as a thought partner, strategist, and coach supporting business transformation and change management efforts. She has a unique background that lends credibility to her work withclients., having worked in business operations, as a leader and  manager, and as an internal and an external consultant. 

She knows her way around health care systems having worked in or consulted to health care organizations for 14 years. Wendy spent eight years at Kaiser Permanent as a Senior OD Consultant working with health care providers and their teams, administration, and senior leaders in national functions. Prior to joining Kaiser, Wendy had her own consulting business, facilitated at Stanford Graduate School of Business for the Group and Interpersonal Dynamics course, worked as a product director for Thomson Publishing in their nascent electronic publishing division, as a multimedia producer for Arnowitz Studios creating an award winning CD-R Animals!, and as a senior account executive for Lexis/Nexis.

Wendy has been a keynote speaker at the European Enneagram Conference, and at global business meetings.  She has also been a speaker at the Prosci Global Change Management Conference, the W.I.N. Conference (Women's International Network), and at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco on Spirituality in the Workplace. She has authored a chapter in Working Together: Producing Synergy by Honoring Diversity by Angeles Arrien and Mikhail Gorbechev.

Her forthcoming book, InsideOut will be published in December 2011. It is a guidebook for leaders seeking new tools to lead in the new world economy.

Wendy received her Masters Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco, CA and her Bachelors degree in Spanish & Ibero-American Studies, at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She also spent a year studying at the University of Madrid, Spain, is fluent in the Spanish language, and studied both French and Portuguese.
